Jordan Williams, LMSW

In terms of my treatment philosophy, I would have to say that no matter the situation, circumstance, or condition, living a substantial life is possible for everyone when the proper steps are taken. Unfortunately, succeeding at living a substantial life can truly be hindered by various life challenges. However, I believe everyone can acquire appropriate skill sets and acknowledge/utilize their strengths. For this very reason, I lean a little more towards a strength-based approach and I feel that small achievable goals can truly go a long way. In terms of treatment interventions and/or modalities, I tend to tailor my process according to the person and issue at hand, whether it be CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, crisis intervention, solution-focused, and more. I currently offer counseling geared towards one’s distress, and I teach individuals ways and/or skills to enhance their overall mental health. This involves providing individualized therapy plans for adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, communication difficulties, trauma, difficulties with life transitions, and other emotional challenges. Essentially, the gap that I would like to fill consists of not only finding the true root of these challenges, providing the necessary treatments, or providing resources to help individuals truly heal, but I would also like to help individuals tap into their strengths and help with the best solutions that work for them as an individual.
